Here at the Volunteer Centre we often get asked about Meals on Wheels services. Meals are provided by various organsiations around County Monaghan. If you or someone you know needs this service please contact the local provider for your area. Their details are listed below. If you are not sure which one to contact you can ask your public health nurse or contact us at Monaghan Volunteer Centre and we will try to direct you to the right service.

Meals on Wheels Services

Monaghan Town

St. Vincent de Paul provide free hot meal deliveries 6 days a week to older people in the Monaghan Town area. The person must be referred by their public health nurse. If they do not already have a PHN contact the PHN team at St. Davnet’s on 047 30400

North Monaghan, Monaghan Town & Surrounds

Truagh Spirit provide a Meals on Wheels service. There is a charge for meals but no referral is needed. Contact 047 87049

Clones, Newbliss & Surrounding Areas

Clones Development Society, based at the Ulster Canal Stores, provides hot meal deliveries.  A charge applies, no referral needed. Contact 047 52125

Carrickmacross & Surrounding Areas

Monaghan Integrated Development provides chilled meal deliveries, which the client can heat up. A charge applies, no referral needed.  Contact Mary Murphy 087 3941080
