What organisations using our services say about us:

Monaghan Failte Isteach provides English conversation classes for migrants.

Failte Isteach students and volunteer tutors

"We use the Volunteer Centre to connect with volunteer tutors for our conversational English classes. We are a relatively new group and the Volunteer Centre has been very helpful in connecting us with people who have become tutors for our classes. For every extra volunteer we have in our group we can provide tuition for four more students. So the Volunteer Centre is a vital resource for us in recruiting new tutors and enabling us increase and improve the service we provide."

Angela Cassidy, coordinator of Monaghan Failte Isteach

Cairde Activation Centre in Clones provides a Day Care Service for adults with intellectual disabilities.

"The Monaghan Volunteer Centre offers a vital role within the community.  It offers   crucial services such as Garda Vetting and the advertising of roles for volunteers.   Without such an easy and efficient service, my job would be much more complicated.   Staff at the centre are friendly, approachable and easy to talk to.  The role they   provide in advertising for volunteers is of vital importance, as it exposes my service   to  hundreds of people who may not know we exist.  The Monaghan Volunteer Centre   is imperative in the smooth running of my service."

Brandy Micheletti of the MID Community Health Project (CoH-Sync)

"We have found the Monaghan Volunteer Centre to be very helpful in offering volunteers for  our programme. Several volunteers took part in our survey and new volunteers are continuing to approach us.  The centre is helpful to both organisations and volunteers and the staff, Sinead and Grace, are easy to work with.  I would highly recommend them. "

2nd Cavan Scouts became independent in January 2019

"Our first and most important hurdle was Garda Vetting, the team at Monaghan Volunteer Centre supported and guided us through this essential legal requirement...The support, help, understanding and patience given to us along with the training ensured that our Garda Vetting was fully compliant with in a short space of time...

The group has 100 youth members, all love scouting and come week in, week out. They would all have lost out on the fabulous opportunities scouting has to offer, without the services and support provided to us by the Garda Vetting team at Monaghan Volunteer Centre. "

Age Action Charity Shop

"We have received great support always from the Volunteer Centre. We have a good working relationship with them and they have always helped us source volunteers. Our shop could not operate or be such a success without their help. Their work … unites people with suitable placements. This in turns works for  the recipient organisation and the volunteer as the volunteer will gain confidence from learning a new skill."

Mary Beagan, Manager Age Action Charity Shop, Monaghan.

Monaghan Sports Partnership

"Monaghan Sports Partnership have linked with the Volunteer Centre for the recruitment of local volunteers. We run a summer camp for children with a disability, which requires additional support for children who may require one to one mentoring. The service was a huge help in identifying suitable candidates and made the process very easy to complete. From working with Monaghan Volunteer centre we have had a number of volunteers work at out inclusive camps, which enabled children to take part in a camp with the one to one support provided, which isn’t available at other camps."
