March has arrived & with it brighter days, unpredictable weather & lots of new volunteer roles!


St Patrick's Day Parade Marshals: Volunteers are needed to help at the Monaghan parade. More here:


St Patrick's Day 5k Stewards: This Carrickmacross event is in aid of Sosad & requires volunteers. More here:


Meals Delivery Drivers: Volunteers will visit with & provide meals to older people in North Monaghan. More:  


Health Fair Volunteers: Volunteer stewards are needed for this event in Carrickmacross. More here:


Basketball Coach: A coach is require for the Monaghan Special Olympics Basketball Club. Training happens in Monaghan every second Tuesday. More here


Special Olympics Ulster Collection Day: Volunteers are required around the County for this event. More here:


Knitting Machine Operator: A community group are assisting a family who have access to a knitting machine & need some advice in how to use the machine. More here:


Share your talent: There are lots of community groups who would like a volunteer to help with workshops. Arts/crafts/music/dance /drama/yoga /quizzes/crosswords/DIY. If you have a talent share it! 


Debates AdjudicatorConcern debates are seeking adjudicators. An information night takes place in Monaghan Education Centre on March 27th.  


Garda Vetting Training: This is taking place on Thursday 14th March in Castleblayney Enterprise Centre 


Tip of the month

Fundraising is not always FUN!


However groups decide to do it, raising money is hard. If your group is fundraising make sure people know what the money is for. Selling tickets or shaking a bucket with no idea where the money will be spent is off-putting for the volunteers and the donors.
