About Us

Monaghan Volunteer Centre was established in 2006 by Monaghan Integrated Development (MID).  Monaghan Integrated Development is a Government funded Local Development Company. MID delivers programmes which support specific target groups to bring positive change to their lives. The Volunteer Centre is one of the programmes that MID delivers. In 2009 Monaghan Volunteer Centre became a member of Volunteer Ireland, the national volunteer development agency. Today the Volunteer Centre is part of a network which includes 21 Volunteer Centres and 7 Volunteer Information Services. Since it's establishemnt the Volunteer Centre has grown to be a countywide service for volunteering in Monaghan. The Volunteer Centre is funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development and managed by MID. The Centre is committed to promoting, supporting and advancing volunteering in County Monaghan. Monaghan Volunteer Centre currently employs two Development Officers and a Part Time Manager.
