In 2009 Monaghan Volunteer Centre became affiliated with Volunteer Ireland, the national volunteer development organisation. Today the Volunteer Centre is part of a network which includes 29 Volunteer Centres. You can find more information about Volunteer Ireland and the network of Volunteer Centres HERE. Since its establishment the Volunteer Centre has grown to be a countywide service for volunteering in Monaghan. The Volunteer Centre is funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht and managed by MID. The Centre is committed to promoting, supporting and advancing volunteering in County Monaghan. Monaghan Volunteer Centre currently employs a coordinator, a development worker and a migrant volunteering projects worker.
