Hello everyone, we hope you are all having a fantastic month of July.
Here are some volunteer roles around the County.
The Down Syndrome Centre North East is holding a flag day in Monaghan town on the 19th of August. If anyone has an hour or two to spare all help is greatly appreciated. More Here
Clones GAA have a number of volunteer roles available at present. The group would like to hear from volunteers interested in youth coaching, supporting the girls teams and match day volunteers. There are roles for people with and without prior experience of GAA.
Carrickmacross Meals on Wheels would like to hear from some new volunteers who might be available to help out at weekends. This is a vital service to support older members of our community to live independently for longer. If you are interested get in touch.
Drummany Spirit are based in County Cavan and support people in recovery, their families and people experiencing mental health issues. The group are holding an alcohol and drug free music, holistic workshop, art & talk festival from 4th to 6th August. Volunteers are invited to come along and be part of this event. More Here
Teach na nDaoine in Monaghan town is interested in having some new volunteers join their homework club team in September. The homework club meets on a Tuesday and Wednesday and hours can be arranged to suit volunteers availability. This volunteer role is busy, fun-filled and very rewarding. More Here
Keep an eye out for our new leaflets and posters which Swiftprint are working on at the moment. If anyone would like to receive some of our promotional materials reach out and we will get them to you.
Monaghan Volunteer Centre will be at Castleblayney Show on Monday the 7th of August. This will be our first time to have a stand at the show and we are really looking forward to meeting lots of you there. If you are at the show be sure to drop over and say hello.
County Monaghan Volunteer Awards will be launching in August so now is a great time to get thinking on nominations. More in next months newsletter.
Well done to everyone who helped out at the Sage Garden action morning in Monaghan. The work was complete by volunteers from Monaghan Migrant Support Centre Mens Group with help from Monaghan Tidy Towns members and Volunteer Centre staff. Before and after photos are on our social media!
