Hello everyone and welcome to our June Newsletter. This month we are sharing a few updates on what we’ve been up to, as well as a selection of volunteering opportunities in County Monaghan. 

Craft & Chat Project

We have been working in partnership with Womens Collective Ireland (formally Dochas) on a volunteer craft project for women. This project is still running and open to anyone who would like to join.

Volunteering opportunities  near you

Foróige’s Brother Big Sister is a youth mentoring programme that helps young people who may need some additional support, they offer volunteers training and support to help them fulfill their role, more information here; https://bit.ly/3jjfKxs

Teach na nDaoine would like some volunteers to help with their summer camp this year, this is a great opportunity to gain experience working with young people, click here to apply https://bit.ly/3PmY6tF

The Alzheimers Society have a number of day centres that provide a safe and welcoming environment for those who have dementia to take part in activities, they would like to hear from anyone that can help with activities at their centre in Carrickmacross , more information here; https://bit.ly/46fmvHo

The Down Syndrome Centre North East have a number of volunteer roles available for summer camp assistants and flag day collectors in Monaghan and Carrickmacross. Click here for more information on all the roles they have available https://bit.ly/43FEuoV

Fóroige are recruiting for volunteers that are interested in volunteering for 1.5 hours per week with a youth group for young people from the Ukrainian community aged 12 – 18. Volunteers will be fully trained and supported by Foróige; click here to register your interest  https://bit.ly/3PlXjt2

Errigal Truagh Special Needs Parents and Friends are holding a summer camp in August and are recruiting for camp mentors. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to gain experience working with young people, there are a number of activities planned for the camp which promises to make this an interesting, enjoyable and rewarding volunteer role.
