Tip of the Month – Volunteers thrive when they have a defined role!

We all know that feeling, the nervousness of starting a new role or joining a group, sometimes you aren’t quite sure where you fit in or what you need to do. This can be off –putting to volunteers who are giving their free time to help an organisation. The best way to alleviant this, is to have a good volunteer induction & role descriptions for volunteers, take the time to go through their role and answer questions. This doesn’t have to be a large folder or a long document, something short and to the point works best! If this is something you feel your organisation would benefit from but may need some support to develop, get in touch, we are happy to help!
