Hello and welcome to our November Newsletter. We have some new and exciting roles this month, as well as information on our County Monaghan Volunteer Award winners and our upcoming Christmas event!
Foróige’s Big Brother, Big Sister – A little time makes a big difference! Volunteers are matched with young people from the BBBS project, and then give one-to-one mentoring support. More information here BBBS
The Irish Girl Guides offer personal development opportunities for young women, they have a number of clubs in County Monaghan and are recruiting for leaders in Clones. More information here GirlGuides
ALONE is a national organisation that offer services to support older people in our community. They are currently recruiting for Telephone Support Workers in the Monaghan area. This is a volunteer from home role for more information click here ALONE
Meals on Wheels Carrickmacross deliver meals to older people in Carrickmacross and surrounding areas. They have a very dedicated team of volunteers and urgently require another driver for 2 hours on Friday mornings to join their team. Click here for more information Carrickmacross
The Irish cancer society require volunteer drivers for the south Monaghan area. Volunteers will offer practical supports to cancer patients by driving them to treatment appointments. For more information click here VolDriver
The UCD School of Psychology are currently undertaking a piece of study in relation to body image in young girls aged 13-17. If your young person is interested in taking part parents/guardians can read all about this piece of research and register their interest here UCD
Castleblayney Community first responders are involved in attending medical emergencies, they are seeking new members for their group, full training will be provided. For further information click here FirstResponse

A Christmas Coffee morning for volunteers is currently being organised for Thursday 9thDecember, attendance will be by RSVP and COVID government guidelines will be in place. More details to follow in our December newsletter on this event.
